shomal

In Persian, Shomal means North.
When I was a child, every time we planned a trip to a place with pleasant weather, we would say, “Let’s go to Shomal.”
It means the northern provinces of Iran: Mazandaran, Gilan, and Golestan, cities like Kelardasht, Ramsar, Rasht, Gorgan, Noor, Mahmoudabad, Tonekabon, Bandar Anzali, Masal, Namak Abrood, Babol, Lahijan, and Chalus. Places that always held a strange kind of beauty for me: green forests, misty mountains, endless roads filled with the scent of burnt wood and rain. The food, the rice, the kebabs, the fish, Shomal is an inseparable part of my childhood, and of every Iranian’s memory.

Kelardasht

One of the most beautiful towns in northern Iran,
surrounded by endless forests and the serene Valasht Lake.
The road from Kelardasht to Abbasabad feels like a road to paradise.
Its food, its small-town rhythm, its silence, everything about this place has always held a quiet magic for me.

Green. So Green.

Everything here is covered in green, forests, trees, rivers, and mountains wrapped in fresh air and quiet beauty.

Growth

Everything here grows, everything flows.
Mazandaran carries a quiet peace in the air, the scents, the food, the views
all come together in a harmony that feels alive.

Details

One day, I visited my good friend Mehrdad’s garden in Gilan
And there, I discovered the beauty hidden in small details.
